Diketahui, As It Was yang dirilis pada 1 April 2022 lalu merupakan singel utama dari album ketiga Harry yang bertajuk Harry's House yang dijadwalkan akan dilepas ke publik pada 20 Mei 2022 mendatang.
Ast It Was berhasil menggeser dominasi Heat Waves milik Glass Animals yang tercatat lima pekan berada di posisi pertama Billboard Hot 100.
Lagu As It Was sendiri menceritakan kesedihan seseorang yang ditinggalkan oleh kekasih yang disayanginya. Selain itu, lagu ini juga mengungkapkan rasa kerinduan seseorang sebelum ditinggalkan sang kekasih.
Dengan lirik yang begitu sedih, Harry memainkannya dengan musik upbeat bertempo 80-an, sehingga dia seolah tak memberi kesempatan pada penggemarnya untuk larut dalam kesedihan.
